Emotions aren’t dangerous, and when you make decisions that don’t meet the expectations of 

others, you may be afraid that they’ll be angry, but you must train to live with the fear and 

accept the sad feeling that you can’t make everyone happy, and don't make amends for it. It's 

not your responsibility to make sure the other person's life is going well. Pretending to enjoy 

self-sacrifice is a complete waste of energy. The guilt is in the repressed anger, think of it as 

an extra tax you have to pay because you're standing up for what you honestly feel. Endure 

irrational and unnecessary guilt with dignity, and speak kindly to your heart.
