Lily So
Lily So (b. 1993) is a self-taught contemporary artist born in Hong Kong. She studied in the UK when she was 18 and is now based in Hong Kong.
Her main medium of choice is ink on paper and acrylic on canvas; her majority practice consists of different techniques interlaced into highly detailed, portrait artworks that are a representation of her obsessive passion for simplicity, the liminal state between reality and idealism, between pain and pleasure, perpetually on the cusp of transcendence.
Artworks exhibited at Soho House Hong Kong, Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong, The Hari Hotel Hong Kong, Rivercity Bangkok Thailand, New Era University Kuala Lumpr Malaysia, Southern University College Johor Malaysia.
Art enables her pursuit of inner peace, becoming an integral means of self-expression.
